Based in the village of Aberfoyle on the edge of the highlands criss-crossed with various easy walks, fairy tales, wild foods and medicines hidden in the hedgerows.  Join me on a walk to discover the hidden gems of the Scottish countryside.  A different way to connect with wild Scotland.  An unforgettable experience which will leave you hunting in the lanes and hedgerows back home.

Here you will find ancient oak woods, mostly they are carpeted with blaeberries (blueberries). The best foraging is usually found in the wild edges - eg hedgerows, cycle paths, canal ways - where you will find the rebel plants springing forth.

Before or after our foraging walk you might want to venture up Doon (or fairy) hill, it is an ancient Oak woodland with an ancient pine at the top which is said to be the doorway to an underground fairy queens palace and where Rev Robert Kirks soul is held captive by the fairies. Rev Kirk was the minister in Aberfoyle in the 17th century. In 1691 he published his famous book 'The Secret Commonwealth of Elves and Fairies'. His church is also still here in the village for you to visit.
